Sunita Williams Shares Heartwarming Christmas Message from Space

Astronaut Sunita Williams, currently dwelling on the International Space Station (ISS) recently recorded a simple Christmas message for everyone on the Earth. Williams, in a NASA produced video, recorded her holiday greeting from space, wishing everyone all the best and a happy holiday.

Happy Christmas to everyone back on Earth, Williams said excitedly, while standing in front of the Earth’s dramatic topography. “Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. May this festival fill your life with joy and happy memories”

It is the same message with a note that even a human spirit will not be bound by the distance that can exist between the Earth and space. It emphasizes the strength of people and the bonding that exists between individuals around the globe during such joyous ceremonies.

Some Holiday Cheer in Orbit

As is customary on earth people celebrate Christmas through decorations, family gatherings and feasting, in equal measure, Williams and the other astronauts also have their own ways of celebrating the event in space.

Space-themed Decorations: Sometimes, the ISS is decorated in rather wintery fashion or at least there are some decorations on the International Space Station, although they can be more or less space-oriented. Instead, an assortment of surprises that have included ornaments, string lights, and what amounted to a tiny tree for Christmas exist on the station.

Holiday Meals: There are unique festive recipes that are usually prepared with the idea of space that have to be created too.

Video Calls with Loved Ones: People on space stations are able to speak with their families and loved ones via video calls during the holidays and share stories.

Williams proves that in any circumstances and despite any conditions people are able to remain people and keep on caring about others. It tells us that no matter how big the universe, the ideas that can be associated with the holiday can make people become more united and help others to find some hope and good intentions.
