To everyone’s surprise, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who is married to Kareena Kapoor Khan, had to be hospitalized after sustaining six stab injuries in a failed robbery in his South Mumbai’s Bandra home. News shows that the incident took place late Wednesday night from a mysterious stranger who came into the house of the actor.

According to a statement by the Mumbai Police, the suspect entered Saif’s residence at approximately 2:30 am and ended up having a very bad quarrel with one of the staff of the house. The intruder got angry upon seeing Saif come near him in an attempt to diffuse the encounter, which resulted in the actor getting six stitches. Of them two were critical; one of which was touching his spinal cord.

The attacker escaped on the same night after the attack and left the police to conduct an intense search. A top level IPS officer said that along with the Mumbai crime branch has been conducting a search operation to nab the accused. At the same time, the police have the necessary actions registered in the form of an FIR and are taking the necessary measures to establish the identity of a potential perpetrator.

Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital where the hospital’s chief operating officer, Dr Niraj Uttamani said that the actor had been operated on to treat his injuries. “The extent of the damage will only be clear after the operation,” he said, as the actor’s condition remains critical.

Saif is admitted at the hospital, looking worried and shaken. Kareena Kapoor Khan has stayed by his side. Taimur is not involved in the crash, although his parents have two children, a two-year-old boy, and a one-year-old boy, Jeh. Saif and Kareena reside at Satguru Sharan building located at Khar West, Bandra area in Mumbai which has some of the most celebrity dwellers and is supposed to be quite a secure place.
