Decorate with festive colors: Choose bright colors such as yellow, orange and red in decoration. This is through the use of colorful lanterns, flowers and fabric that is traditional to Punjabi people.

Play traditional music: Make the room happy with nice Punjabi folk music and bhangra music.

Get creative: Engage in an art sale that involves making of Lohri scenes such as lanterns, paper flowers and hand puppet.
