Overview of Exam
SBI Clerk Prelims Exam has three subjects:
English Language: test vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
Numerical Ability: test quantitative aptitude and problem solving.
Reasoning Ability: test logical reasoning and analytical skill.
Shift 1 Analysis (February 22, 2025):
Initial experiences of the test takers indicate that the major part of Shift 1 was easy-moderate overall. Here is the sectional analysis:
1. English Language:
The English section was mostly said to be easy to moderate.
Reading Comprehension: Comprising a pretty simple passage with direct and inferential questions.
Vocabulary: Questions on synonyms, antonyms, and phrases replaced asked.
Grammar: Error spotting, sentence rearrangement, and fill-in-the-blanks were diverse among.

2. Numerical Ability:

Survey Syllogism: Standard syllogism questions made up.
Inequalities: Some questions were based on inequalities.
Direction Sense: Questions related regarding direction and distance were present.

It demanded a strong analytical ability and skill to solve puzzles pretty fast.
Key Observations:
Time Management: Even in this case, time management was crucial, especially in Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.
Accuracy: It became very important to maintain that level of accuracy because there is negative marking.
Puzzle and DI Dominance: A lot of the whole paper was based on puzzles and Data Interpretation.
Moderate Difficulty: Overall, all the subjects gave moderate level difficulty, and a balanced approach was required in all segments.
Expected Cut-off:
The expected cut-off is most likely to change state-wise and category-wise considering the difficulty level and candidate feedback. However, again, one can generalize after analyzing many shifts.
Tips for Future Shifts:
Practice Regular: Focus on indulging more on puzzle practice, DI, and arithmetic problem solving.
Time Management: For maximum speed and accuracy, ensure that mock tests are done with time constraints.
Do Consider and Keep Calm: Stress creates panic at the time of examination, try to “unwrap” during the exam.
