Recently, Southern Railway has stated that several new trains have been planned during the Pongal festival because of high travelling rush throughout the season. Such trains will run between different cities of Tamil Nadu like Chennai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil and Madurai so that the passengers will not feel any inconvenience while travelling.
